Most problems on Sunday morning start earlier in the week: a hymn chosen at the last minute, a verse reference nobody wrote down, a projector cable that disappeared. This checklist spreads the work over the week so Sunday is calm.

Midweek: gather the order of worship

  • Ask the pastor and the worship leader for the hymns (with their numbers) and the Bible references.
  • Collect the announcements in writing — dates, times and places spelled correctly.
  • Note any special moment: baptism, dedication, a guest choir, communion.

Friday or Saturday: build the service

  • Create a new service in BibleSlide and give it a title (for example, the date).
  • Add the hymns in order, then the Bible passages, then text slides for announcements.
  • Add a blank slide where you want nothing on screen, such as before the sermon.
  • Check the chorus option and the number of verses per slide.
  • Save the presentation. If a volunteer needs a copy, export it to PowerPoint or PDF.

Sunday, before the service

  • Arrive early, connect the laptop and the projector, and open the saved service.
  • Press F5 and check one hymn and one verse from the back row.
  • Test the clicker or the phone remote.
  • Keep the service open, with a black screen (B), until worship begins.

After the service

  • Note what went wrong and what to change next week.
  • Thank your team — publicly, if you can.
1 Corinthians 14:40

Let all things be done decently and in order.
