Slides cannot replace preaching, but they can help people remember the main points and find the Bible passages. The goal is clarity, not decoration.
Seven tips
- Send the outline early. The team needs the passages and main points before Sunday.
- One idea per slide. A short title for each point is enough.
- Show the Bible text in full. One verse per slide, with the reference.
- Fewer words, larger text. If you need a paragraph, the slide is too full.
- Use the same style all the way. One background and one font for the whole message.
- Keep notes for yourself. Speaker notes can appear on the stage screen, not on the main screen.
- End with one clear slide. The main verse or the application people should take home.
From outline to slides
In BibleSlide the Sermon Builder lets the preacher write the outline, add passages and points, and then create the service with the slides in order. The projection team receives a ready service instead of a list of verses on a piece of paper.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
