In a large room, people at the back see the lyrics clearly but the preacher only from far away. With Cameo, BibleSlide can show a live camera view — the preacher, the choir, a sign-language interpreter — in a small window on the slides, next to the words.

Setting it up

  1. Connect a webcam to the presentation computer, or use its built-in camera.
  2. In the BibleSlide app, open the Cameo panel and enable Cameo. Your browser asks for permission to use the camera: allow it.
  3. Place the camera window: drag it, resize it, or choose one of the quick positions.
  4. Choose a shape — rectangle, rounded, circle, portrait or square — and, if you like, a border, a shadow or a mirror image.
  5. Choose on which slides the camera appears: all slides, only songs, only Bible passages or only text slides.

During the service

The camera controls stay on the presenter’s screen, never on the projector. Press V to show or hide the camera window, and Shift + V to switch the camera on or off.

Your privacy

Cameo shows the camera image live and nothing more. The video is not recorded, not uploaded and not sent to BibleSlide: it stays on the computer that shows it. Cameo uses video only — never the microphone — and the camera turns off when the presentation ends. Your Cameo settings save only the layout, never an image.

Before you show people on a big screen, tell your congregation, and be especially careful with children. Respect goes further than any technology.

Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

King James Version

Test it on a weekday first: good light on the face matters more than an expensive camera.
