5 (085:6) Eske w'ap toujou rete fache sou nou? Eske ou p'ap janm byen ak nou ankò? 6 (085:7) Eske ou p'ap ban nou lavi ankò, pou pèp ou ka fè fèt pou ou? 7 (085:8) Seyè, fè nou wè jan ou renmen nou! Delivre nou non! 8 (085:9) M'ap koute sa Seyè, Bondye a, ap di: Li pale ak pèp li a, ak moun ki kenbe l' fèm yo, li pwomèt pou l' fè yo viv ak kè poze, depi yo pa janm lage kò yo nan fè betiz ankò. 9 (085:10) Wi, li pare pou l' delivre moun ki gen krentif pou li, pou l' fè yo santi pouvwa li, pou l' toujou la avèk yo. 10 (085:11) Lè sa a nan peyi a, moun yo yonn va renmen lòt, pesonn p'ap bay lòt manti ankò. Moun va viv byen yonn ak lòt, pesonn p'ap fè lòt lenjistis ankò! 11 (085:12) Sou latè moun p'ap vire do bay Bondye. Bondye menm, bò pa li, va rete nan syèl la, l'a gade anba san patipri. 12 (085:13) Seyè a va fè nou jwenn tout kalite bon bagay. Jaden nou yo va bay bèl rekòt. 13 (085:14) Moun k'ap mache dwat yo va pran devan. Kote yo pase moun ap viv byen yonn ak lòt.

Sòm 85:1

PSALM 85

Psa 85:1-13. On the ground of former mercies, the Psalmist prays for renewed blessings, and, confidently expecting them, rejoices.

1. captivity--not necessarily the Babylonian, but any great evil (Psa 14:7).

Sòm 85:4-7

4-7. having still occasion for the anger which is deprecated.

Sòm 85:8

8. He is confident God will favor His penitent people (Psa 51:17; 80:18).

saints--as in Psa 4:3, the "godly."

Sòm 85:9

9. They are here termed "them that fear him"; and grace produces glory (Psa 84:11).

Sòm 85:10

10. God's promises of "mercy" will be verified by His "truth" (compare Psa 25:10; 40:10); and the "work of righteousness" in His holy government shall be "peace" (Is 32:17). There is an implied contrast with a dispensation under which God's truth sustains His threatened wrath, and His righteousness inflicts misery on the wicked.

Sòm 85:11

11. Earth and heaven shall abound with the blessings of this government;

Sòm 85:12-13

12-13. and, under this, the deserted land shall be productive, and men be "set," or guided in God's holy ways. Doubtless, in this description of God's returning favor, the writer had in view that more glorious period, when Christ shall establish His government on God's reconciled justice and abounding mercy.
