Most problems on the screen on Sunday are small and could have been avoided with five minutes of checking. Print this list and keep it near the projection computer.
The day before
- Receive the song list and the Bible passages from the worship leader and the preacher.
- Build or check the order of service and correct any spelling mistakes.
- Make sure the laptop is charged and up to date.
30 minutes before the service
- Connect the projector or TV and check the picture.
- Open the saved service and test the first song and the first reading.
- Check the stage screen for the musicians, if you use one.
- Connect the phone remote and test it from the back of the room.
- Show a welcome slide while people arrive.
During the service
- Watch the worship leader, not only the screen.
- Change the slide just before the last line ends.
- If something goes wrong, show a plain background instead of an error.
After the service
Note the songs used (for your licence report), save any change, and tell the team what can be improved next week.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Train a second volunteer. The best checklist is useless if only one person knows the system.
