1 Al Músico principal: sobre No destruyas: Salmo de Asaph: Cántico. ALABARÉMOSTE, oh Dios, alabaremos; que cercano está tu nombre: cuenten tus maravillas. 2 Cuando yo tuviere tiempo, yo juzgaré rectamente. 3 Arruinábase la tierra y sus moradores: yo sostengo sus columnas. (Selah.) 4 Dije á los insensatos: No os infatuéis; y á los impíos: No levantéis el cuerno: 5 No levantéis en alto vuestro cuerno; no habléis con cerviz erguida. 6 Porque ni de oriente, ni de occidente, ni del desierto viene el ensalzamiento. 7 Mas Dios es el juez: á éste abate, y á aquél ensalza. 8 Porque el cáliz está en la mano de Jehová, y el vino es tinto, lleno de mistura; y él derrama del mismo: ciertamente sus heces chuparán y beberán todos los impíos de la tierra. 9 Mas yo anunciaré siempre, cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob. 10 Y quebraré todos los cuernos de los pecadores: los cuernos del justo serán ensalzados.

Salmos 75:1

PSALM 75

Psa 75:1-10. Al-taschith--(See on Psa 57:1, title). In impending danger, the Psalmist, anticipating relief in view of God's righteous government, takes courage and renders praise.

1. God's name or perfections are set forth by His wondrous works.

Salmos 75:2-3

2-3. These verses express the purpose of God to administer a just government, and in a time of anarchy that He sustains the nation. Some apply the words to the Psalmist.

receive the congregation--literally, "take a set time" (Psa 102:13; Ho 2:3), or an assembly at a set time--that is, for judging.

Salmos 75:4-8

4-8. Here the writer speaks in view of God's declaration, warning the wicked.

Lift ... up the horn--to exalt power, here, of the wicked himself--that is, to be arrogant or self-elated.

Salmos 75:9-10

9-10. Contrasted is the lot of the pious who will praise God, and, acting under His direction, will destroy the power of the wicked, and exalt that of the righteous.
